چکیده

The effect of a blasting vibration from an excavating tunnel on adjacent excavated is great importance for the stability and security twin tunnels. Due to relatively small distance between face concrete lining tunnel, impact could be significant should considered in practical project. In order control scales during excavation one minimize one, research based field-blasting tests performed tunnels presented this study. particle velocities caused by were measured analysed six rounds blasts. According waves, it was clear that peak velocity (PPV) each blast always induced cut blasting, therefore, maximum due mainly dependent blasting. PPV all blasts 15.55 cm/s, corresponding tensile stress 1.44 MPa observed lining, which smaller than strength accordance with one-dimensional elastic-wave theory. Moreover, attenuation waves varied different regions, they utilized demonstrate characteristics blasting; e.g., region along direction 1.12 1.79 times larger those opposite direction, difference increased increasing source. side close other tunnel. However, two aforementioned regions similar when measuring point source more 6 m longitudinal Furthermore, used evaluate improve designs tunnelling drill-and-blast method.

OPTIMAL DESIGN OF TUNNEL SUPPORT LINING USING MCBO ALGORITHM

In this paper, a systematic approach is presented for optimal design of tunnel support lining using two-dimensional finite element analysis models of soil-structure interaction developed in ABAQUS software and the Modified Colliding Bodies Optimization (MCBO) algorithm implemented in MATLAB environment. This approach is then employed to study the influence of variable geometrical and geo-mechan...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Effect of Segmental Joint on Internal Forces in Tunnel Lining under Seismic Loading by Numerical Method

Although segmental tunnel linings are often used for seismic areas, the influence of segment joints on the segmental lining behavior under seismic loading has not been thoroughly considered in the literature. This paper presents the results of a numerical study investigating the effects of the rotational, axial, and radial joint stiffness of the longitudinal joints on the structural force...
